ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix spacio- (or spatio-), denoting space or space exploration, combined with the suffix -ology denoting a subject; meaning ‘the study of space exploration.’ First coined by Cometan early on in the Founding era to denote the academic and practical study of space exploration as a whole as a result of Cometan’s contemplations via cosmic philosophy (cosmontology).
